So what are LIMELongriders all about? We are a sport touring, safety oriented riding group out of Long Island, NY. We do several different event ride weekends a season, as well as many day rides up into the Catskill mountain region as well as Massachusetts and Connecticut. Many of our members also ride south yearly to visit Deals Gap and many other points of interest.

    We are a group that knows the importance of riding gear. You will never catch a LIME member out in a Beanie helmet, T shirt and shorts on their motorcycle. We all know that heaven forbid something should happen, we want a good grade of motorcycle specific protection between us and the pavement.

    We wear DOT/SNELL helmets at all times, long pants or riding overpants, a motorcycle specific jacket and motorcycle specific gloves as well.

    We are not "stunters" or the loud pipe cruiser set. Any type of motorcycle is welcome to ride with us, but it must be in very good working order, and not a junk heap ready to fall apart. Your motorcycle should be properly maintained and in tip top working order at all times for one of our rides. Bald tires will be told to go home.

    Also, you MUST be ready for the days ride when we leave. This means you must have enough money on you to take care of your gas as well as a lunch stop. It also means you MUST be well rested at the beginning of our ride. No coming in at 4 AM and going out to ride at 8 AM.

    If you have an ego and want to ride with a group to prove you are the best or fastest or some such thing, Then this is the wrong group for you. If there is a problem with your riding, you will be talked to once, and if the instance continues, in no uncertain terms you will be told to leave. We DO NOT race on public streets, or make a spectacle of ourselves. We promote safety and the fun of motorcycling.

    We are a group of all age riders who are there to have fun as well as share the camaraderie of others of like mind.
